The best of times, the worst of times.
Spent my monday and tuesday preparing for FUSION night, literally the whole day, other than that for lunch break, which is only like an hour or so? haha, well. tmr's the event and we just need to touch up alittle on the decor. haha, well, so our stall isn't really that decorative. haha, just a sign board and all. but oh well, considering 90% of our people are handling so many other things for the event, there's only so much we can do.
A tiring 2 days spent in church. Tomorrow's gonna be another long day and i'll finally get my rest day on New year's day (: and then its back to church for ministry overnighter from friday to saturday. Sunday will be spent in church. My last few hours of the "holidays". Note the inverted commas. I dont really have time for a break cause of all the events that just comes crashing down all at the same time.
Remind me again that i've got about 4 projects due by the end of January which i havent even started. Bleh, such is the life of a student. Who says only adults has to meet deadlines?
I guess 2008 is a year to remember. The best of times and the worst of times, mentioned in service afew weeks back. How true.. the 1st half of the year, everything was going so well, houses were selling at high prices, petrol was at its record prices due to the high demand of it, consumers were spending. Yet, after the half way point, the recession came. Petrol prices dipped drastically, prices of homes
dropped, consumer spending decreased. And now,to embrace ourselves for the upcoming year. Jobs could be lost, more bankrupt cases may be heard, and it'll be some time till the market picks up again. Yet after all that has happened in this year, all we have left is memories, the bad, the good. Isnt it all for our own good? What we have now might not be what we might always have. What we have lost, may not be lost forever. Everything we have, everything we have done, whatever happened in the past, God allowed it to happen for a reason, and He wants us to see why He does it and how not to repeat the same mistake over and over again.
And at last, you'll never know if its not meant to be, neither will i know if we'll be back again 10 years from now. Its in God's hands, everything is.
pushing on..
