How true is that statement? When you're famous, everyone starts rushing to you to be your friend, your sponsor.. and yet when you're no longer the flavour of the day, people start leaving you. Pretending that they dont even know you at all, no matter how long they have worked for you.
Yet in the moments of success, most people forget about their true friends and go about doing their own things, basking in the breakthrough that they had once dreamt about that have become a reality and neglecting the people who really cares for them.. Forgetting the many years of friendship that they had and just moving on to make new ones who only cares about your new found fame and fortune, and in that period, those true friends that you once had will start to leave, not because they want to, but because they barely know you anymore.
And when a person becomes bankrupt, poor and rejected by the public. Who is going to help him, who will aid him to get back on his feet? Your "friends" who came to you after you were famous? Your "sponsors" who helped you while you were at your peak? No.. Your friends you once knew that you were so close to once, would probably help you out alittle, but no one would go all out to help you cause you've forgotten your true friends when you were high up in the mountains, you forgot where you once were..
To be humble, even when you're famous
To remember your friends even when you're at the peak
To keep in contact with the people you care about
And not forgetting those who helped you out when you were weak
pushing on..
