God's been really awesome. So the last few weeks, God's been speaking to me through various people in my life, from the pastors, to church mates and to my cca leader. Prayer, one of the most important aspects in Christian living. How can one live a christian life without prayer? And yet when one prays, he has to understand that sometimes God will just say no because its not in His Will.
God's will. Its so different from ours isnt it? How often we wish to get hold of something we want, how often we want to have the best of everything, but how much good will it give us? Will it build us up for the better or lead us to boast and be proud of what we have? Will it lead us away from God? Sometimes i feel those are the reasons why God doesn't give us what we want, because of the mere fact that it'll do us more harm than good. Yes it can make us happy and put a smile on our faces, but it might also draw us away from God. How many times have we looked to God and thanked Him when things are going our way? Compare it to the number of times we look to God when things are NOT going our way. Obviously the latter has more counts right? The Human Nature, we always tend to forget who gives us our successes and only look at ourselves, thinking that it is only Me, Myself and I who has achieved this feat.
To be a disciple of Christ, is to take up our cross daily and follow Him, no matter how difficult it gets.
Sometimes we are too blinded with what we wish and want to get that even if we know that its not in God's will for us to get it, we still keep praying for it. With our human desires, we ask God if He can prevent a situation from taking place and even if He says no, we still pray and ask Him about it. Why? Because we cant accept the fact that we can't get it? Because we don't want to accept the reality of what is about to take place?
When life gets too tough to handle, when you feel that God isnt giving you the things that you think you need, don't walk away from God, instead, look to Him.
Memory Verses, those so difficult to remember, but so important in our everyday lives. John 15 talks about God pruning us so that we can bear more fruit in the future. The Pruning Process, its painful isnt it? But the pain only lasts for a moment and when you continue to grow and persevere in God, you'll look back and Thank God for everything that He's done for you cause its for your own good.
Someone said this weeks ago, which i thought was very useful in our lives. When God says no to our wants and requests, the next thing we need to do is not to ask for the same thing again, but to pray for the strength, and perseverance to move on and accept what God has answered, for He does everything for our own good.
pushing on..
