A well known phrase to everyone but yet when the times do get tough, do we simply just give up or push on for dear life? Just came back from Poly Overnighter, and though its been a short 1 night, its been a great time bonding with the rest of the poly youths. yupp, devotions were good too; Salt and Light, Making an Impact.

To know that God's in control of your every situation, to know that He does things for your own good. Are we not suppose to be happy that He is taking care of us? Yet when the going gets tough, when situations become unbearable, when we just feel like giving up, more often then not, we become unhappy because of our problems that we are going through, the bad times that we are experiencing, we pray and ask God to take all of it away, we pray and ask Him to help us in our troubles, and yet what if His answer is "no"? What if He says "alittle while more, wait and it'll soon be over" what will we do? What will you do? Feel disappointed? Feel angry? Feel like God has deserted you? More often that not, we do ask God why didnt He make things better for us, why didnt He take away our problems and the bad situations we're in. But i've realised that its important that even before our normal questions about why God has done this and not do what we wish He had done, we as Christians, have to realise that He cares for us and He knows where we will be in 10-20, even 50 years time. He knows what we'll do, where we'll end up, what our characters are and what we are lacking and He will continue to use situations to grow us and mould us to be the person that He wants us to be. We as humans cannot fully comprehend God, We are not far sighted, only looking at the things that matter to us Now, not things that will help us in The Future. We are SHORT-SIGHTED. The things that we may want may not be the ones that God wants for us and though now we may not know why, we just have to keep on reminding ourselves that God is in control and He has the best plans for us.

Keep the Faith and Run this Race, Everybody has different obstacles in our own individual races, everybody faces different challenges and difficulties, but the important thing is not to dwell on the grey side of life, but to look up and to continue to Trust In God.
